The term 'mad' is also applied to daring stuntmen who perform crazy stunts for the movies. Perhaps even crazier are the stuntmen who perform risky stunts in front of live crowds on ATVs (All-terrain vehicles) and motorcycles. People must have regularly asked legendary stuntman 'Evel' Knievel, "are you mad?", especially after his many accidents!

Mad Libs is the name of a popular word game where missing words in a sentence are filled in with random words resulting in amusing nonsensical stories. Mad Libs are used by teachers to help teach school children how to construct grammatically correct sentences and paragraphs. Because Mad Libs are fun to do, it makes learning about things like nouns and adjectives much more interesting. Penguin Mad Libs

Mad is a US satirical magazine that was first published in the early 1950s. It is often credited by social theorists with filling a vital gap in political satire in the 1950s to 1970s, when Cold War paranoia and a general culture of censorship prevailed in the United States, especially in literature for teens. The rise of such factors as cable television and the Internet have diminished the influence and impact of Mad, although it remains a widely distributed magazine. Taken from Wikipedia.
